The Challenge
Our client was assessing the potential for two products to treat secondary immune deficiency (SID) in haematological cancers
They wanted to understand the challenges that patients face along their journey of cancer, and the additional impact of SID
The insights were to be used to identify opportunities for the intervention of the pharmaceutical company, including the potential for their therapies

Our Approach

The app allowed us to push tasks that allowed patients to convey their emotions at each stage of their cancer journey, including the additional impact of an SID diagnosis on top of cancer
Navigating a difficult journey
Diary tasks and recalling key milestones, as well as highs and lows, gave us an in-depth understanding of the cancer journey, which we could use as a basis to probe on further during in-depth interviews
The Outcome
Our insights demonstrated key challenges and unmet needs at each stage of the patient journey, including their emotions and attitudes.
Our insights revealed how our client's agents could improve patient outcomes, as well as other areas of intervention that could improve the patient experience.
